Joseph Mannarino has an extensive background in science, management and marketing, with a Bachelor of Science degree in both Chemistry and Biology from Adelphi University of New York and post-graduate work in business management from both Queens College and St. John’s University. For over 28 years, Mr. Mannarino has been involved in the Graphic Arts Industry. For well over 30 years he has been a recognized expert, collector and professional in the field of narrative arts, encompassing all manner of illustration, comic and cartoon art collectibles. Mr. Mannarino has been involved in the field of conservation for nearly twenty years as a member of the AIC, introducing archival Tyvek as well as other innovative products to the field and most recently as a graduate of the prestigious McCrone Research Institute of polarized microscopy program. Mr. Mannarino served as a consultant for Christie’s East, the world renowned auction house, from 1992-1997.

In addition, Mr. Mannarino is an agent for some of the most prestigious artists to have ever worked in the medium, including Frank Frazetta, Mort Drucker, Carmine Infantino, Joe Simon, Angelo Torres and Jim Steranko. Perennial special advisor and contributor to The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide, the universally acknowledged reference work in the field. Charter and founding member of the American Association of Comic Book Collectors Committee for Authenticity Certification and Grading. Mr. Mannarino has appeared as an industry expert on many programs including; CNN, MSNBC, PBS, VOOM and the Discovery Channel.
